Session 025 - 10.04.25

Outside Astronomer's Throne

We started out, outside the Dream Sanctum. There was a confrontation between Gleam and the party, the "moon" left with Amidor the Dandelion and Pollenella the Honeybee following her. As Amidor the Dandelion had pledged himself to her cause before doing so with the party.

Heading to Brigganock Mine -> Fey Beacons

On the way, they see a man attempting to light the Fey Beacons; they stop and decide to help him accomplish his goal: To get home.

He is being harassed by several flying creatures that constantly extinguish the flames he keeps lighting. There are 8 "towers" with braziers at the top that he must light; all must be lit at the same time to work. Endelyn assisted him with saving his home, but it required him to serve her for one year. He did as he was supposed to and was rewarded with this path home, but only if he follows the rules to get there.

They realize it opens a one way portal.
Veer rushes into a plan, without consulting the party. He hops on Kiros' back and they fly up to the top of the beacon, Rell began sprinting up the side, because of the previous flying disasters. Veer actually tries to jump off of Kiros and misses the side of the tower; Rell casts Feather Fall and all is well. They formulate a plan and get all the beacons lit, sending the man somewhere (they assume home).

They make it to the Brigganock Mines without issue and camp overnight.

Camping Overnight

• Veer casted Tiny Hut for the party to rest.

• 10 pulled Kiros outside to question him about Lestora. He couldn't really provide her with much detail.

  • He says it's about control.

  • Study Check: 16
  • Whittles her charms -> Last 2 are good.
  • Has a nightmare (I gave the nightmare this time), Natalia ate it.
  • For the remainder of the day, her voice is raspy as if she inhaled too much smoke. She woke up feeling drained, like normal after a nightmare.

• 10, Natalia, Ophelia

  • While Natalia ate 10's nightmare, Ophelia was trancing and was able to observe the entire situation, but she took it as kindness that Natalia was comforting 10.

• Veer

  • Shield Check: 30 (Awarded 2 successes)

• Rell

  • Trances and reads his book, learning about Mazikoth.

Entering Brigganock Mines

In the morning they enter the mines.

• Natalia uses her Echo to scout as far as she can.
• After entering the mines, the sounds of the mining have a lulling effect: Veer and Rell succumb to slumber. 8 brigganocks show up with wheelbarrows, but upon seeing awake creatures, they attempt to flee. 10 misty steps ahead of them and engages in conversation with them. They are friendly. They help gather up the sleeping party members and they escort the party to Molliver (Molliver).
• Molliver explains things to them:
  • The brigganocks are not malicious, they were making noise to upset the korreds because they believed they were working with the hag. Which is not true.
  • He asked them if they "Behead and burn" the other hags.
    • Not sure if that does anything, he has only heard myths and rumors.
  • The small creatures mine wish stones. They decorate their houses with them and sell them. Molliver acts as a intermediate from them, selling excess.
  • They might get access to the Motherhorn tunnel if they speak to Obud, after completeing the challenge.
  • Ophelia suggests fostering a meeting with the korreds for making a peace pact.
• We left off heading to Rivenwish Chasm.
